TYPE 209 "VARIOPRESS"     In 1977 KUKA came with another new rear loader, which was a truck that could be used for all type of garbage. This was the Type 209 VarioPress. The compaction system of this truck is somewhat evocative the Gar Wood LP-900. (dyna-action). This truck was produced until 1982.     EDITORS NOTE: Looking over the photos of the KUKA 209, it is apparent that this design seems to have married the features of two famous rear loaders; outboard-mounted swing links controlling the lower end (Gar Wood LP-900) of a "telescopic" sliding upper platen (Heil Mark V). Unfortunately, Michel has only limited information on this model.
