C & O Manufacturing
Santa Fe Springs, California
Beginning with a truck repair operation, C & O Manufacturing expanded to building their own refuse body models in 1970. Named for partners Dean Clark and Chester Ott, this small Southern California builder built a loyal customer base on quality workmanship and engineering tailored to individual customer needs.
Looking for a quality product which could compete in the SoCal market, Dempster purchased C & O in the early 1980s, operating it as their West Coast subsidiary for several years.
