For a few years, the Retriever was still badged as Bison or Parks-Bison, but by the late 1980s became known simply as the Peerless RT-6. The Wrangler stationary packer line was carried over, and a cart dumper attachment also joined the lineup. In 1987, Peerless obtained the rights to build the Magnum chain-lift roll off system. Around 1995, Peerless sold the division to Oregon Western Industries (OWI), and relocated to the Paragould, Arkansas factory. Thereafter, Peerless would concentrate on their transfer trailer product line. Johnn Knapp left Peerless around 1988 to found Advance Design Research (ADR) in California.
